2025 LLV Book Fair & Costume Parade
Happy costume creating – and happy reading!!
Parents, carers, family and friends are invited to the 2025 LLV Book Fair & Costume Parade on Thursday 21 August, 2-5pm!
Burns Bay Bookery will be all set up in our Level 5 foyer from lunchtime until 5pm with a fabulous Book Fair full of wonderful titles for you to choose from. Every book you purchase will have part proceeds coming back to LLV to buy books for our new school library, so bring your birthday/Christmas lists and stock up! You can also choose to buy a book to donate to our school library – if you do, we’ll affix a name plate in the front so that your kind donation is recognised.
At 2pm, we’ll start the costume shenanigans and parade our literary characters for your entertainment and delight. Cheering, clapping and reciting of said characters’ dialogue encouraged!
Keep the fun going after the parade and stay for afternoon tea with your students – The Bitter Pea will be open for hot drinks, milkshakes, toasties and sweet treats, while our Restaurant Beyond students will be whipping up something delicious for you to nibble as you browse the books.
Our clever and creative teachers are also dreaming up some fabulous literary displays and there’ll be an interactive station where we ask students to contribute ideas for what they want their school library to look like – so start thinking!
Finally, stay tuned for the launch of our 2025 Book Week Reading Passport Adventure, a fun way for students to immerse themselves in books, reading and the magic of storytelling!
